Can a person effect matter with positive and negative thoughts?

I read or saw something somewhere that a scientist from Japan did some research with a dark field microscope. With positive and negative thoughts on H20. The results showed that the positive thoughts made the water form symmetrical and the negative thoughts made it unstable and globular looking. Is there anyone who knows of this and or similar experiments?
