Will she give me a second chance?

my ex girlfriend broke up with me about 4 months ago and i still love her very much and i have told her that. She just wants to be just friends and not a relationship well i have tried to rekindle it she just hasnt really wanted to cause she thinks she will lead me on if we go out. So university is gonna be starting and we go to the same place. If i would not talk to her and just no contact her till like next month at this time. Would that reset her thoughts on us to be able to try again. She texted me very brief like last week just to say thanks fir being respectful when we together i just thought that wasnt a normal text to get from a ex
