Why do conservatives never mention that containment of Iraq worked during Clinton's term in office?

Because the Russians and the French were in negotiations with the Iraqis for a lifting of all sanctions if they were allowed to bring the Iraqi oil fields back on line. Talk about "No war" for oil!
