Is it hard to make friends in college cl bec. they want to focus in cl, too busy, or what?

I heard of people who say "after the semester people stop talking" at college. I believe they meant people who meet in cles. I have heard of a pretty girl who's tried to ask people to hangout but they didn't so it got me thinking why stop talking after one semester and never really friends in the first place. THe thing is I don't chill with anyone from hs and I got no friends I keep in touch with anymore so it's hard to not having someone to fall back on. It seems most people have that group they stick with.
