How do I repair my old baseball gloves (only for a few games of catch)?

Me and my friend want to go play some catch, and she says "Let's use a tennis ball" but we're mainly tossing to get rid of some frustration so I look at her and say, "I'll look for my gloves." So i dig in my closet and find them. The last time i used them I was about 11-13, so its been about 6 years since the last time I've used them. My hand still fits mostly in both of them, it covers my entire hand so it's cool. My friend is just...small, so I doubt she'll have a problem fitting them. The most important part is that my oldest glove, the one i started out with, is in bad shape. The mitt of the glove has a bunch of leather or whatever it is that is falling off. Like, the outer layer of that is just coming off just by me touching it. The newer glove I didn't use as much compared to the older one so that one is fine. What can I do about the oldest one? I'm not going to buy another glove because I won't be playing catch all that often in the near future as far as I can tell. Can I do anything about it?
