Applique tips for quilting?
quilting.about.com and wonderhowto.com both have a lot of videos on quilting and applique. As for books, I don't know if you're a beginner or not, but I would go to a bookstore and go through the selections myself. If you're a first time quilter, I would suggest 'Quilting for Dummies' or 'Your First Quilt Book (or it should be)'. You could also try a magazine called "McCall's Quick Quilts." Very basic and easy instructions in order to make medium size quilts, and every issue has instruction pages that will get you started. If you are a beginner, start with simple squares of the same size. If you pick a pattern that is too advanced for your first one, you'll get frustrated easily and won't want to keep up with the hobby.
